Sixth International Conference on Immersion and Dual Language Education

Presenter Information

The conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis Hotel located at 1300 Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis.

Directions can be found on the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis website.

Time and Location of Your Presentation

You may find your scheduled presentation by searching for your name in the dropdown box at the top of the Schedule Search page. The result of the search will indicate the day, time, and room of your presentation.

Please arrive 10 minutes before your presentation to get set up in the room. Technical staff will check with you to make sure everything is working before you start.

Please be considerate and finish your presentation on time so that the next presenter has sufficient time to get set up.

Equipment and Presentation Files

Except as noted below, you must bring your own laptop or other device if you want to display a PowerPoint or other presentation.

Be sure you have any needed adaptors to connect to the data projector. Those with Mac laptops or iPads, etc. - this note is for you!

All rooms will have a data projector, screen, and wireless internet.
We do not have remote controls available - if you want one, bring it.

If you have web-based information, we recommend either downloading it or making screenshots in case the internet speed is not sufficient for live viewing.

It's always a good idea to have your presentation backed up on a flash drive in case you have difficulties connecting.

Symposia and Plenary Presenters

Because the Symposia and Plenaries will be recorded and/or streamed, your presentation will need to be on the videographer's laptop. Symposium presenters should coordinate with the Symposium Leader(s) regarding the format of your presentation.

Please arrive 30-40 minutes before the session to transfer and test files as needed.

Bring your presentation slides and associated files on a flash drive so it can be loaded on that laptop.

It is a good idea to have a PDF back up, just in case you have any trouble with the formatting when using a different computer from your own.

Laptop Poster Presentations

You are responsible for bringing your own, fully charged device, and you are welcome to bring a handout with a summary or information related to your project. You should make copies ahead of time.

SwapShop Lesson Plans

You should format your lesson plan using the SwapShop Lesson template (Word doc).

Print 15-20 copies of your lesson plan (in the template format) to share.
