Unit Timeframe:

This unit will take over a period of 5 weeks.

Unit Overview:

Students will get familiar with the print features of a "Feature Article" as a genre. Students will create their own feature article?? including facts as experts opinions, quotes, categorical and numerical facts.

Context:

This genre study will be implemented following the format of Writers Workshop??already in place??. Mini-lessons to address the language objectives and the specific content?? of the feature article will be addressed. Students are familiar with the structure of the workshop: Mini-lesson, working time-sharing time.
