Situation 2: Dialogue 2

友達A: なかなか上手だね。  Nakanaka jouzu dane.  ‘You are pretty good.’

友達B: えー、そんなことないよ。  Ee, sonnakoto naiyo.  ‘Oh, no, that’s not true.’

友達A: いや、うまいよ。練習したの？  Iya umaiyo.  Renshuu shitano?  ‘Oh, yes, you’re good.  Did you practice (singing)?’

友達B: うん、ちょっとだけ。  Un, chotto dake.  ‘Yes, just a bit.’
