A chart

"When I am trying to form the conditional tense in my head, I usually imagine the verb in its infinitive form and then I imagine the chart of endings of –ía, ías, ía, íamos, ían,  and I take the appropriate ending and I attach it to the end of the infinitive form of the verb."  This student visualizes the formation of verbs in the conditional by picturing the endings moving towards the infinitive forms and attaching to them.
