Answer This sign is a good example of terse, concise advertising language used on Khmer signs. Of course, it's really not that different from much of the terse, concise language used in everyday conversational Khmer!

In our terse advertising language in English, we often create noun phrases to describe the service being offered at a business: "Dry Cleaner," "Restaurant Supplies," etc. In Khmer, it's much more common to use verb phrases; i.e. phrases which describe the action performed at that business:
