Unit Timeframe:

This unit will require three to four weeks of classes. (85 minute periods)

Unit Overview:

Students will study Homer's Odyssey through close reading, vocabulary, writing, summarizing, and assessments. Using the classroom texts at home and a shorter, easily read in-class text, students will read the epic with an elevated level of familiary with concepts of Greek life, customs and traditions. Throughout this unit, students will use both creative and reflective writing skills,
