Define good health habits. Establish importance of exercise. Learn four major types of exercise. Teach peers a set of four exercises that are beneficial to a particular sport.
This unit is incorporated into the end of the second year or the beginning of the third year, depending on the ability of the students. This unit is an opportunity to review concepts of health and exercise and to provide additional practice in the following items of grammar and vocabulary:
- conjugation of most verbs in the present and preterite tenses
- familiar commands
- Vocabulary: names of sports, body parts
