Teacher Participant Application

PLEASE NOTE: This program is for critical language teachers only:
Arabic, Chinese, Dari, Hindi, Korean, Persian, Portuguese, Russian, Swahili, Turkish, and Urdu who teach in the United States.

This application has 3 parts:

  1. Fill out the online application form below and submit.
  2. Use the Supervisor Recommendation form (download Word doc) to request a recommendation from your supervisor or department head. Your supervisor should email this form directly to startalk.ttlo@gmail.com
  3. Email an example lesson plan with detailed student activity and interaction descriptions that you have used recently in your classroom.
    • You must use the STARTALK Lesson Plan Template (download Word doc) to describe your lesson.
    • The lesson plan needs to be in English or come with an English translation, please.
    • This Lesson Plan Guide may be helpful as you fill in the template.
    • Email your lesson plan as an attachment to startalk.ttlo@gmail.com.

Your application is not complete until we receive all three parts of this application. Please look for an email that confirms we have received all three parts.
