CHINESE NEW YEAR LANTERN FESTIVAL

Online Exercises on Grammar and Vocabulary

Welcome to the Chinese New Year Lantern Festival web site. This site is designed to provide self-test exercises on grammar and vocabulary with online feedback. Target users are instructors and learners of intermediate-level Chinese. Traditional characters are used in the exercises. No special interface or encoding is needed to view the characters. There are 4 types of exercises with 5 multiple-choice questions each. You can begin the exercises by clicking on any of the sections listed below.

These exercises have been prepared by Kylie Hsu, Associate Professor of Chinese and Linguistics at California State University, Los Angeles. This project was supported by a LCTL mini-grant from the Center for Advanced Research on Language Acquisition, University of Minnesota.
