The CARLA summer institutes listed below are primarily targeted at K–12 and post-secondary foreign language and ESL teachers. They are not designed to meet the unique needs of immersion teachers. Please refer to the bottom of each page for specific information about the target audience. Please see the section below for CARLA's immersion-specific institute.

 Summer Institute for Immersion Teachers

This immersion institute is specifically designed for one-way (foreign language) and two-way immersion educators who teach subject matter through the target language for 50–100% of the school day and promote continued development of English (amount of instructional time in English varies by grade level).
