Formative assessment of this lesson will be done by students themselves and the teacher to assess with a checklist when they present the post-task activity.

    1. Describe briefly in Japanese about my own musical preferences of genre(s), musicians or composers using proper sentence structures. 
    2. Describe the reasons why I like/dislike them, what musical instruments I play or I desire to play / to learn to play using my gathered information, proper sentence structures and vocabularies.  
    3. Identify the name of musical instruments and genres properly by listening to music and describe briefly about them in Japanese.
    4. Describe briefly in Japanese about my partner's musical preferences of genre(s), musicians or composers using proper sentence structures and vocabularies. 
    5. Describe the reasons why s/he likes/dislikes them, what musical instruments s/he plays or desires to play/ to learn to play using her/his gathered information, vocabulary and proper sentence structures. 
    6. Use Modifying (nouns with entire) Clauses such as "Who is the person that can play the violin?" "A person who can play Cello skillfully is Joy."      
    7. Collect the necessary information about the music piece, and the composer's historical background and what happened in the U.S. at that time using Internet.
