	I chose ideas and examples that are appropriate for this culture.
	I made sure my writing had a definite beginning, middle, and end.
	I tried to make my writing interesting.
	I wrote a first draft and then I reread and revised it.
	I checked to make sure that my writing makes sense.
	I made sure the sentences relate to each other.
	I used familiar language structures so I know I am writing correctly.
	If I did not know a word, I used a word or phrase I do know.
	I followed grammar rules I checked my use of verb tenses (present, past, future, etc.).
	I asked someone who knows the language (classmate) to read my writing and give me feedback.
