I chose ideas and examples that are appropriate for this culture.

I made sure the sentences relate to each other.

I used familiar language structures so I know I am writing correctly.

If I did not know a word, I used a word or phrase I do know.

I followed the grammar rules.

I asked someone who knows the language (classmate/teacher) to read my writing and give me feedback.

I checked to make sure that my sentences make sense.
